Suggestions To Support Your Cleanse:
Emphasizing foods that are toning and strengthening to the liver while at the same time supporting the detox functions of the liver are crucial. Focus on alkalizing foods such as dark leafy greens, fresh sprouts, beets, and beet greens, all vegetables, especially root vegetables (eat the rainbow!!) Consume cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli, microgreens, and onion and garlic, which contain sulphur, as well as ginger & turmeric. Consuming plenty of water is also key to helping your body eliminate toxins, and you can add lemon juice for an extra antioxidant as well. Another way to help eliminate toxins is to add sauna in weekly.
Certain foods are heavy and taxing to the liver and digestive system; by eliminating these items it will help the liver focus on cleaning out and toning up its functions. The food and drink items to eliminate are mostly foods that would be eliminated from any diet. Alcohol, all fried food, fatty foods, dairy, preserved food or prepackaged foods, creamy rich foods, sugar, chocolate, sweetened drinks, coffee (caffeine), raw foods, sweet fruits, gluten, white rice, flours, baked goods, most oils and anything that is not adding nutrition or support to the liver. As always, if you are on medications or have any liver, gallbladder or kidney issues, consult your healthcare provider.
Warnings & precautions:
- Use only as directed. Not for use during pregnancy or lactation.
-
Consult your healthcare provider before use if you have a medical condition
(hypertension, heart, or kidney disease) or are taking medications (including blood thinners, blood pressure medications, hormonal therapies, or immunosuppressants).
